When tight tolerances lead to tight situations

I had a customer request a part with a tolerance tighter than the usual aviation specs, and let’s just say, my calipers are working overtime. You haven’t lived until you’ve tried to squeeze a.0005 gap into a part while your buddy shouts ‘just shave a bit more off!’ from across the shop. Anyone else been in a similar bind?
