Challenges in mold design for injection molding

I’ve been diving into creating molds for plastic injection lately, and I’ve hit some snags with ensuring proper cooling channels. It’s crucial for cycle times, but can be tricky to design in tight spaces. How do you guys balance design complexity with functionality in your molds?

Cooling channels can definitely feel like trying to fit a giraffe in a VW Bug! One trick I’ve found helpful is using conformal cooling to better navigate tight spaces. Have you tried any software tools for that yet?
