Keep an eye on these opportunities and jump on them while they’re hot. Whether you’re looking to relocate, stay local, or work remotely, there’s something here that could be the right fit.

When these posts are “real-time,” I’ve had the best luck applying within the hour and putting the exact control and machine right at the top of my resume (Fanuc 0i, Haas VF2, Okuma OSP). If a listing is thin, I call the shop and drop a quick, relevant cycle-time win from my last part to stand out. Remote’s still scarce, but I’ve gotten a couple to let me program at home if I commit to on-site for first article.

Quick example: I’ve been getting faster responses by uploading a one-page setup sheet with cycle time and materials (4140/17–4) and noting my go-to probing routine in the cover letter — twice this week I heard back within an hour. Small caveat: remote is still thin and, , half of those are really hybrid; I’ve had better luck pitching off-site CAM in Fusion 360 with on-site prove-out (Autodesk Fusion | 3D CAD, CAM, CAE, & PCB Cloud-Based Software | Autodesk), and referencing your “apply promptly” note in the subject line seems to bump me to the top. Anyone else cold-call the shop after submitting?
